I have nappy/coarse short afro hair. Should I cut it and relax it?

I just got finished tearing, cutting, and combing out (painful!) all my "mini-dreads", as my friends would call them. So now I have a short, 3 inch afro all over (slightly longer on top). Im tender-headed, so I hate having to comb it out every day. I was thinking about cutting down to about 1/2 inch even all over.. then putting a very gentle relaxer through it, to create shorter, wider, and softer curls, that will lie (when dry) closer to my head.

I can't picture how I'd look with it. I haven't seen my scalp in years. So what do you think?

(the white stuff is conditioner)..

You don't have to cut it. Just get a gentle relaxer now.

You should try that becausse I think that it would look good on you. If you really don't like it--well, it will grow out soon enough.
