Should i get my hair cut short?

well, first, my face shape is heart and i have brown hair

i don't like to care for my long hair anymore (now i usually just use a defuser)

but anyways, i wanna get my hair short (an angled bob)

i'm not sure how my hair would looks short though, since i havn't had it short since 3rd grade

i think thats a little risky

otherwise i was just thinking i should just get some layers, so it would be easer to defuse my hair

what do you think, should i get it short, or just go for layers

(ps, it's easy to defuse my hair, since it's already naturally wavy, but the weight of my hair being one legnth weighes the waves down, so yeah)

If you think short is too risky right now, you could just got for the layers for now. If that isn't any easier on you - then go for the short cut.

cause if u have curly hair and put layers in it just doesn't look right.

i put layers in my hair before i used a straightener and it looked really bad.

I made the huge mistake of having my (very very VERY) long hair cut extremley short. Imagine a talking coconut....

So, I suggest you have it cut slowly, taking it a bit shorter and shorter at a time (you could ask your hairdresser to do this in one sitting to save expenses, or have a good DIY go at it)

Take a look at Face Shapes in Google, and do some researh into styles in magazines. Other than than, do what you want!

I cut my hair just above the shoulder and I regret it. So unless you are extremely sure you want to do it, don't. It will grow back, but it seems like an eternity for me.

If your hair is naturally wavy and straight angled bob will be lots of work. Layers usually work well with wavy hair.

I got kind of a layered bob type thing (I don't speak hair) with bangs that go to one side long enough to almost tuck behind my ear. ever since than, i have had pretty much every person in my town tell me how good I look. So I would say just go for it. Go to a good hair stylist and they'll make sure you look good.

Since you said your hair is wavy and not curly, I would go for the layers. Going short is a big step, especially if you are used to having long hair. Of course it always grows back but it's hard to endure (well at least for me it was..lol). You could ask your stylist for a longer angled bob, where the very back of the hair hits the top of the top of the shoulders and you could also do layers with that. If your hair is thick that kind of cut will help out a lot. Then, if you decide you want it shorter or you miss it longer, you aren't in that bad of a situation because you are ready to go both ways with that cut since it wasn't such a dramatic change.
